Alicia Kavka, M.D.Alicia Kavka, M.D.
Dr. Kavka is a Pathologist at Pacific Pathology Associates, Inc. and is Board Certified in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology.

Dr. Kavka completed her fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Oregon Health Sciences University after two years in the general surgery program there.

She received her Medical Degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biological Sciences, Cum Laude, from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Dr. Kavka enjoys creating art in various media, knitting, sewing, hiking, reading, cooking, and going to movies with her husband and three sons.

Lawrence Konick, M.D.Lawrence Konick, M.D.
Dr. Konick is a Pathologist and Vice President at Pacific Pathology Associates, Inc. He serves as Laboratory Medical Director at Santiam Memorial Hospital in Stayton. Dr. Konick is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Dr. Konick completed his fellowship in Surgical Pathology at Laboratory of Pathology, Inc., in Seattle and his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

He received his Medical Degree at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland and two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Medical Technology from Oregon Health Sciences University and one in Chemistry from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington.

Dr. Konick is a native Oregonian, who was born and raised in Corvallis. He enjoys reading mysteries, science fiction and fantasy novels, researching genealogy, traveling and spending time with his family and dogs.

Mark Joseph Magilner, M.D.Mark Joseph Magilner, M.D.
Dr. Magilner is a Pathologist at Pacific Pathology Associates, Inc. He serves as the Medical Director of the Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology Laboratory at Salem Hospital and is the Medical Director of the Clinical Laboratory at West Valley Hospital in Dallas. Dr. Magilner is Board Certified in Cytopathology as well as Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Dr. Magilner completed his fellowship in Cytopathology from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City and his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland.

Dr. Magilner received his Medical Degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont in Burlington.

Dr. Magilner enjoys road cycling and driving on the scenic back roads of Oregon.

Clark McDonald, M.D.Clark McDonald, M.D.
Dr. McDonald is a Pathologist and President of Pacific Pathology Associates, Inc. and is the Medical Director of Laboratory Services at Salem Hospital. He is Board Certified in both Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology.

Dr. McDonald initially completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, Colorado followed by a residency in Anatomic Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. His training was completed by a fellowship in Surgical Pathology and Cytology, also at OHSU.

He received his Medical Degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Regis University, in Denver.

Dr. McDonald enjoys traveling, cooking Indian and Moroccan cuisine and Memphis-style barbecue.

Pam Proffitt Smith, M.D.Pam Proffitt Smith, M.D.
Dr. Smith is a Pathologist at Pacific Pathology Associates, Inc. and is the Laboratory Medical Director at Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville. She is Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology.

Dr. Smith completed her Hematopathology Fellowship and her Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland.

She received her Medical Degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from Williams College, Williamstown, Massachusetts.

In her free time, Dr. Smith enjoys long distance running, gardening, hiking and camping with her family.

Dr. Vanderveer is a Pathologist at Pacific Pathology Associates, Inc. and is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Dr. Vanderveer completed her Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

Dr. Vanderveer received her Medical Degree from George Washington University in Washington, DC and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Dr. Vanderveer enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.

Daryl Vogel, M.D., PhDDaryl Vogel, M.D., PhD.
Dr. Vogel is a Pathologist at Pacific Pathology Associates, Inc. and is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Vogel is the Medical Director of Laboratory Services at Silverton Hospital.

Dr. Vogel completed his Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology residency at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California and his Surgical Pathology Fellowship at Laboratory of Pathology in Seattle, Washington.

He received his Medical Degree at the University of Washington in Seattle, where he also received a PhD Degree in Pathology with an emphasis on Toxicology and Environmental Pathology.

Dr. Vogel also earned three Bachelor of Science degrees in Zoology, Chemistry, and Microbiology, from the University of Washington in Seattle.

In his free time, Dr. Vogel enjoys sailing, international cooking, wine tasting, scuba diving, computers/Internet, and spending time with his wife and four children.

Debbie Chia Wu, M.D.Debbie Chia Wu, M.D.
Dr. Wu is a Pathologist at Pacific Pathology Associates, Inc. and is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology.

Dr. Wu completed two fellowships in Cytopathology as well as Surgical Pathology at the University of California in Los Angeles. She graduated from the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency program at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she served as administrative chief resident. In addition, she completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York.

Dr. Wu received her Medical Degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Dr. Wu enjoys running and recently completed the Vancouver and Portland Marathons. She also used to enjoy both skiing and traveling, in her former life before becoming a mother.

Geoffrey D. Werner, P.A.Geoffrey D. Werner, P.A.
Geoffrey works as a Pathologists' Assistant and is certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology as a Pathologist's Assistant and also has fellowship status from the American Association of Pathologists' Assistants.

Geoffrey has been a Pathologists' Assistant for 16 years since graduating from the University of Arizona in Tucson with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology.

Geoffrey enjoys hiking and camping with his family and photographing nature.

Carrie Woodville, P.A.Carrie Woodville, P.A.
Carrie has been a Pathologists' Assistant for 7 years. She received her Pathologists' Assistant Master's Degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science after receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin.

Carrie enjoys reading, theater, and exploring Oregon's hiking trails with her husband and dogs.

Bob is the Director of Information Services for Pacific Pathology Associates, Inc., and is an ASCP board certified Medical Technologist with a current California Med Tech license. Bob has over 15 years of experience with computer systems, business applications, and electronic medical record interfaces.

Bob has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Allied Health from the University of Central Florida with an internship completed at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Florida.

Bob enjoys showing and breeding Golden Retrievers.
